Emergency Department Registered Nurse - 13-week Contract

Location: Corpus Christi, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7A - 7P Shift

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This unit features 16 beds with an additional 8 hall chairs, and provides low acuity care for ESI levels 4 and 5, with potential for ESI 3 and 6. The nursing staff works collaboratively with a focus on compassion, urgency, and teamwork to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document findings.
• Administer medications and provide wound care and splinting as needed.
• Perform IV starts, urine collections, and lab draws.
• Deliver care to patients with varying acuity levels (ESI 1 through 5).
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in mandatory shift huddles to discuss patient care strategies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a valid RN license.
• ACLS, BLS certifications are required; TNCC, ENPC or PALS preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in an emergency department setting is highly desirable.
• CEN or TCRN certifications are a plus.
