Operations AssociateSparx is the Risk Operating System (RiskOS) for value-based care, backed by Thrive Capital and Drive Capital. We are already working with over 25% of Accountable Care Organizations in MSSP, REACH, and KCC. Collectively, our customers provide care for one in every ten Medicare beneficiaries. We are building a high-impact team to transform value-based care through our industry-leading, integrated data and actuarial software platform.The Operations Associate is a highly organized, execution-focused role responsible for supporting day-to-day operational workflows and client coordination across Sparx's customer base. This individual will work closely with leadership to ensure operational efficiency across client relationships, insurance partners, renewals, internal processes, and financial administration. Beyond execution, we are looking for someone who will actively identify opportunities to improve and automate our current workflows - using modern tools and AI to make our operations smarter and more scalable over time. The role requires exceptional organization and attention to detail, strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive mindset toward process improvement and automation.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport day-to-day coordination with Sparx clients and partners, ensuring timely responses and follow-ups.Track client deliverables, communications, and deadlines to ensure smooth execution across accounts. Assist with managing renewal timelines, coordinating required documentation, and preparing materials for renewal processes.Maintain organized client records and documentation to support ongoing account management and retention.Support financial workflows including invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and reconciliation processes.Prepare and track invoices and coordinate with clients on payments.Assist with month-end close processes and maintain accurate internal financial documentation.Support day-to-day operational workflows across the organization.Coordinate internal meetings, client calls, travel logistics, and executive scheduling as needed.Identify opportunities to improve and automate operational processes - leveraging tools and workflow automation software to drive efficiency and reduce manual work across Sparx.Provide general operational support across client management, internal projects, and company initiatives.QualificationsBachelor's degree required.1-2 years of experience in operations, business coordination, consulting, finance, or client-facing roles is a plus.Exceptional organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously.Strong written and verbal communication skills and a professional, client-facing communication style.Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership of tasks and driving them to completion.Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and accountability.Strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity.Proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace, including the ability to build and maintain trackers, templates, and reporting tools.Working knowledge of CRM platforms (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) is a plus.Comfort with AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) and a natural inclination to use them to work smarter and more efficiently.Familiarity with automation tools (e.g. Zapier, Airtable, Retool) or a demonstrated ability to identify and streamline manual processes is a plus.Basic financial literacy - comfort with invoicing, payment tracking, and AP/AR workflows is a plus.
