Seven Healthcare are seeking a competent RN for a Med Surg Travel assignment in San Marcos, TX. The role requires a qualified and experienced nurse who can practice independently and provide both routine and complex care. The work environment involves night shifts and managing contingency situations in clinical nursing.

Key responsibilities of the RN – Med Surg – Travel include:

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers

Requirements of the RN – Med Surg – Travel include:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty, preferred
• BLS required (AHA only)
• ACLS required (AHA only)
• RN License in state of TX or compact
