Job Description

The Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) demonstrates critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in the anticipation and planning for the care of patients undergoing diagnostic Endoscopy procedures. The RN is responsible for the planning, directing, and provision of nursing care in coordination with other members of the Endoscopy team, adhering to the state Nurse Practice Act, physician's orders, recognized nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and established standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing Endoscopy procedures.
• Collaborate with the medical team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards and protocols.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills with patients and medical staff.
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining patient safety during procedures.

Schedule

This position requires a shift from 06:30 to 17:00, with on-call responsibilities of 3 to 7 calls per month. There is no option for block scheduling, and no RTO blackout dates or required holidays.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in Endoscopy.
• Valid AZ nursing license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
