26006997 Nursing Supervisor (Full Time-Nights) – Labor and Delivery Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane Dallas, TX 75231 Work hours: Full Time- 36 hours; 7:00pm-7:00am with rotating weekends Labor And Delivery Department Highlights Labor And Delivery Department Highlights Focused on the experience of all who enter the hospital Promote family-centered care Supportive of the patient’s vision of the Labor & Delivery process Here’s What You Need Associate's Degree Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred 2 Years experience as a clinical nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e. Charge nurse, committee chair, preceptor) required Charge RN experience in Labor & Delivery highly preferred RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required And BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required AND NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days of hire AND IFM - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring if newly hired with experience in perinatal nursing AND never taken IFM 6 Months Req Or IFM - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring if no experience in perinatal nursing 18 Months ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire AND NRPA – Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days of hire CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req What You Will Do Collaborate with Leadership, UBC, and appropriate team members to establish, implement, and monitor department policies/procedures, facilitate unit goals, evaluate and individualize patient care and provide direction to staff to promote quality outcomes. In addition to the required qualifications, a successful Nursing Supervisor, Labor & Delivery will: Engage staff to promote evidence based practices within the unit. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and regulatory requirements for compliance. Provide bedside leadership and clinical expertise to improve quality of patient care. Provide safe direct patient care in coordination with other staff when unit activity dictates. Provide guidance in emergency or complex situations. Use appropriate methodology consistently for communication handoffs.
