Submission Due: 10/09/2026 Position Overview The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide nursing care and clinical support to individuals with developmental disabilities. Candidates must have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and demonstrate strong communication and documentation skills. The position requires experience with medication administration and specialized nursing procedures. Key Responsibilities
• Provide nursing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Administer prescribed medications, including insulin.
• Perform and monitor G-Tube/J-Tube feedings.
• Provide respiratory treatments as required.
• Perform tracheotomy care and suctioning.
• Monitor individuals and report relevant observations and changes in condition to appropriate nursing personnel.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing and clinical documentation.
• Follow established care plans, nursing procedures, safety requirements, and facility protocols.
• Communicate effectively with individuals, healthcare professionals, direct-care staff, and other members of the care team.
• Support the health, safety, and overall well-being of individuals receiving services. Work Schedule & Conditions Assignments may be full-time or part-time, with shifts scheduled as either 8 hours × 5 days or 12 hours × 3 days. No overtime or travel is required. Candidates must be available to work on NYS holidays when scheduled. Shifts will generally range from 8 to 12 hours based on facility operational requirements. Qualifications & Requirements
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credentials as required for the assignment.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Experience administering medications, including insulin.
• Experience with G-Tube/J-Tube feedings.
• Experience providing respiratory treatments.
• Experience with tracheotomy care and suctioning.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals requiring varying levels of nursing support.
• Ability to follow established clinical procedures, care plans, and facility requirements. Background Check Requirements Applicable NYS, agency, and facility-required background screening and credential verification requirements will apply. Vaccination & Medical Requirements Candidates must meet all applicable NYS, agency, and facility-specific immunization, health screening, and medical requirements prior to placement. Required Training Candidates must complete all agency- and facility-required orientation, compliance, safety, and clinical training applicable to the assignment prior to or during placement.
