The Barnett BaristaThe Barista prepares high-quality coffee, beverages, and food items while providing warm, efficient, and friendly service. This role ensures cleanliness, accuracy, and consistency while maintaining a welcoming environment and supporting overall outlet operations.Minimum RequirementsEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.ExperiencePrior barista, café, or food service experience preferred.Hospitality or customer service experience a plus.Skills & KnowledgeKnowledge of coffee preparation, espresso machines, and beverage recipes.Strong customer service and communication skills.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and commitment to quality and consistency.Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand for long periods.Basic math and cash-handling skills.Knowledge of sanitation, safety, and food-handling procedures.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, smoothies, and other beverages.Take guest orders, process payments, and handle cash/point-of-sale transactions accurately.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, barista station, and equipment.Restock ingredients, cups, utensils, pastries, and merchandise.Follow standard recipes and portion controls to ensure product consistency.Engage warmly with guests, answer questions, and offer recommendations.Monitor inventory levels and notify management of supply needs.Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and company standards.Assist with opening and closing procedures.Perform additional duties as assigned by management.HRI is an Equal Opportunity Employer and provides fair and equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status or any other protected status prohibited under Federal, State, or local laws.
