Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a Board Eligible / Board Certified Palliative Care physician to join our established practice in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Practice Highlights Average of 7-8 patients per day PRN coverage for growing northern New Mexico palliative care team Multi disciplinary team to deploy on patient’s behalf Responsibilities Assumes the attending role for hospice/palliative care patients in the community and in Presbyterian hospice units, unless followed by their PCP. As a consultant, works with patient and family to develop a recommended plan of care that supports appropriate medical treatment in concordance with the patient’s goals of care. Uses clinical skills to relieve the suffering of patients and their families. Provides support and oversight of the work of the hospice/palliative care team RN, APN or PAs direct patient care activities, as required by Medical Staff Bylaws. Qualifications MD/DO in a primary medical field appropriate to ABHPM standards. Prefer fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine expected within 2 years of employment.
