The Dubois Continuum of Care Community, a leader in senior care and community-based organizations, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activity Assistant to join our team! As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by planning, organizing, and implementing engaging activities and programs that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and overall well-being.

About the Role

As an Activity Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and coordinating activities, such as art classes, exercise programs, and social events, to cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents

• Developing and implementing innovative programs to promote mental and physical stimulation, socialization, and community engagement

• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to identify and address individualized needs and preferences of residents

• Assisting with the preparation and setup of activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment

• Documenting activities and resident participation to track progress and make data-driven decisions

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Experience working with seniors or in a community-based organization

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve standing, walking, and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
