Software Development Engineer I

To support scientific computing and AI-driven applications, the remote contract Software Development Engineer I will design, develop, and maintain software solutions while collaborating with product teams and contributing to open-source projects. Key responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain software for scientific and data science applications Collaborate with product and engineering teams to enhance developer workflows and customer experiences Contribute to AI/LLM-enabled solutions and maintain GitHub repositories for community engagement Required qualifications 1-2 years of experience in software development or engineering Experience using GitHub or similar version control systems Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, including large language models and API integration Experience applying software engineering practices in scientific or data science contexts Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
