Database Administrator

Overview Division of Water Resources is seeking a Database Administrator. The ideal candidate will be comfortable giving presentations in front of various size audiences, both in-person and virtually. Responsibilities Assisting with development of reports for DWR’s compliance with Phase 2 of EPA’s NPDES Electronic Reporting Rule (eRule). Serving as a technical program representative who can bridge the gap between IT partners and programmatic team on eRule projects. Development of training materials and documentation for new and existing forms in MyTDEC Forms, e-reporting, mapping of data between systems, and data flows to DWR and EPA databases. Provide outreach to both internal and external staff on training for all aspects of e-reporting and NPDES data management. Very detail oriented with a focus on data quality and providing strong customer service to both internal and external customers. Preferred: ARC GIS and Tableau as skills that could open additional project opportunities within the unit. Qualifications IT background with proficiency in Python, SQL, Power BI and/or SAP Business Objects, Excel, and data verification. Ability to prepare data-driven reports and familiarity with regulatory reporting and federal rules compliance. Proficiency in developing in Python and SQL languages. #J-18808-Ljbffr STI
