Clinical Supervisor

Job TitleResponsible for improving the competency of direct service staff and providing structured processes for them to learn and develop clinical skills. Provides opportunities for clinical staff to explore clinical practices, build theories, and examine how they may act in their professional roles. Develops a framework for evaluating clinical skills, abilities, and knowledge. Supervises and assists clinical staff in performing substance abuse and mental health counseling work on both an individual patient basis and in a group setting. Responsible for providing clinical services to patients as needed and documenting in accordance with company standards. Reviews and signs Psychosocial Assessments completed by the Clinical Assessor and may also be required to complete Psychosocial Assessments themselves as needed to maintain regulatory compliance. Provides supervision and guidance for Recovery Peer Specialists with a focus on developing their skills in advocacy, mentoring, recovery support, and professional responsibility.Education and ExperienceCertified Addiction Professional (CAP) certified by the Florida Certification BoardMaster's degree from an accredited university or college with a major in counseling, social work, psychology, nursing, rehabilitation, special education, health education, or a related human services field.Essential Physical/Technical SkillsAbility to write accurately and legiblyModerate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Windows-based computersAbility to accurately type at least 40 words per minute.Ability to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of timeAbility to bend, stoop and reachAbility to sit in meetings for extended periods of timeAbility to move throughout program facilities both indoors and outdoorsAbility to lift and carry 10 poundsGood hearing and visionEnvironmental ConditionsTreatment program / OfficeFast paced environmentExposure to possible verbal abuse and similar behaviorPossible exposure to clients with communicable diseasesSpecial RequirementsValid driver's license or ID card requiredMust pass a level II background check ( and drug screenReasonable accommodations will be made for otherwise qualified individuals with a disability.
