Job Description
LBA Clinical Director
Full-Time | Hybrid/Statewide Arizona Starting at $95,000, DOE | Bonus Opportunities
The OpportunitySEEK Arizona is expanding our ABA leadership structure from one Clinical Director to two. The incoming Clinical Director will join an established leadership team and co-lead our growing ABA program under the Director of Clinical Services.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an experienced behavior analyst who wants to remain connected to clients, families, and developing clinicians while helping shape the future of ABA services. The two Clinical Directors will work as peers, with responsibilities organized according to team needs, geography, specialty areas, and the strengths of the individuals selected.
The Clinical Director will generally mentor approximately five to eight Clinical Supervisors while maintaining a limited clinical caseload. Many of our Clinical Supervisors are early in their licensed careers and benefit from accessible, thoughtful mentorship as they develop their clinical judgment, leadership, and team-management skills.
The incoming Clinical Director will also have opportunities to contribute to initiatives such as:
- Expanding services for teens, young adults, adults, and underserved communities.
- Strengthening caregiver-guidance and telehealth service models.
- Advancing clinical quality, outcome measurement, and accreditation readiness.
- Developing organizational behavior management initiatives.
- Improving staff development, performance, and retention systems.
- Increasing collaboration between ABA and counseling services.
- Responsibly using technology to strengthen clinical workflows and outcomes.
- Expanding access to services throughout Arizona.
We are not hiring someone to inherit a predetermined area of responsibility. We are looking for an experienced leader whose perspective and strengths will help determine how our expanding clinical leadership team works together.
About SEEK ArizonaSEEK Arizona began in 2003 as a home and community-based services provider. Today, we provide primarily home-based and tele-health ABA services to children, teens, adults, and families throughout Arizona.
Approximately half of the individuals we currently serve are children between the ages of 8 and 12, but our work also includes pediatric services, caregiver guidance, teen and young-adult programming, adult ABA, specialty cases, and collaboration with our counseling team.
Our clinical model emphasizes dignity, assent, collaboration, family priorities, and skills that create meaningful change in everyday life. We have worked hard to establish strong clinical standards and are looking for a Clinical Director who will help us continue raising those standards.
Responsibilities- Co-lead SEEK Arizona's ABA services in collaboration with the other Clinical Director and the Director of Clinical Services.
- Provide supervision, mentorship, consultation, and performance feedback to assigned Clinical Supervisors, Licensed Behavior Analysts, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and Behavior Analyst Trainees.
- Help Clinical Supervisors develop the clinical judgment, leadership, communication, documentation, and management skills needed to lead their teams successfully.
- Collaborate with treating LBAs, BCBAs, and Behavior Analyst Trainees on assessments, treatment planning, program development, caseload management, caregiver guidance, and progress monitoring.
- Provide additional consultation and oversight for complex, specialty, or higher-support cases.
- Maintain organizational oversight of RBT supervision hours, training, ongoing competency, and documentation requirements.
- Support Clinical Supervisors in meeting their responsibilities for the BTs and RBTs assigned to their teams and intervene when supervision or compliance requirements are at risk of not being met.
- Participate in interviewing, onboarding, training, evaluating, and developing clinical team members.
- Maintain a limited caseload based on clinical and organizational needs.
- Conduct and support behavioral assessments, treatment planning, caregiver guidance, and other authorized clinical services.
- Monitor treatment integrity, medical necessity, documentation, client progress, and meaningful clinical outcomes.
- Coordinate care with caregivers, counselors, schools, medical professionals, and other members of the client's support system.
- Participate in quality-assurance reviews, clinical audits, corrective-action planning, and program improvement.
- Contribute to accreditation preparation, organizational behavior management initiatives, and the development of clinical policies and standards.
- Provide clinical oversight supporting the ongoing Arizona Department of Health Services licensure and regulatory compliance of SEEK Arizona's outpatient facility.
- Ensure services comply with payer, Medicaid, licensing, ethical, and documentation requirements.
- Communicate effectively, professionally, and proactively.
- Maintain professional ethics, boundaries, and accountability in the care and supervision of others.
Clinical Directors generally complete approximately 12 to 16 billable hours per week. This expectation may be adjusted during periods of significant program development, accreditation preparation, quality improvement, staffing needs, or organizational expansion.
What We Are Looking ForThe right Clinical Director must be able to develop people, maintain high standards, and help clinicians become effective and responsive partners to families.
We are looking for someone who:
- Leads with empathy, humility, curiosity, and sound clinical judgment.
- Enjoys mentoring developing clinicians and emerging leaders.
- Provides direct, constructive feedback while maintaining trust.
- Values assent, dignity, autonomy, and meaningful quality-of-life outcomes.
- Understands that clinical recommendations must reflect the priorities, culture, strengths, and daily realities of each client and family.
- Can balance employee support with accountability and client protection.
- Works effectively within a collaborative leadership structure.
- Is comfortable helping build and improve programs rather than simply maintaining existing systems.
- Values a culturally diverse, multilingual, and LGBTQ-inclusive workplace.
- Master's degree or higher in Behavior Analysis or a related field.
- Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification in good standing.
- Must be a Licensed Behavior Analyst in the State of Arizona by the employment start date. <
