About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience License: Compact License or state license accepted Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (pending accepted) Must-Have: - Strong CRRT skills - 2 supervisor references within the last year Description: This position requires alternating shifts of 3x12 and 4x12 nights from 19:00 to 07:00. Must have BLS and ACLS certifications in hand at the time of submission. NIHSS certification is required but can be pending upon submission. Candidates must include two supervisor references, one from the most recent assignment and another from the second most recent assignment. The role may require floating to IMCU (stepdown) if needed. A Video Interview may be required depending on candidate eligibility. Preferred experience includes previous charge experience and charting system familiarity with Epic. Travel experience is required. Skills required include: - Accessing/Managing Ports - Administration of chemotherapy - Arterial line management - Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal - BiPAP/CPAP management - Blood Product Administration - Care of Ventilated Patients - Central line care/management - Continuous IV paralytics/Neuromuscular blockade - Ventilator Management - Titrate Cardiac drips - Infection Prevention This role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within an interdisciplinary team are essential. Candidates must be prepared for a fast-paced and challenging environment. Travelers may be accepted with the condition that they have been separated from the facility for a minimum of one year. Latex allergies cannot be accommodated.
