Ludlum Measurements, Inc is looking for an Electrician to join our team in Sweetwater, Texas! The Electrician will install and maintain the electrical wiring, fixtures and systems in our facilities.
- Install and repair electrical wiring, systems and fixtures in facilities
- Install conduits and pipe to house electrical wires and cables
- Ensure piping complies with electrical codes
- Install circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connect wiring to them
- Connect electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the facilities
- Test electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation
- Inspect electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed
- Replace conduit and wiring as needed
- Replace circuit breakers as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Ability to read blueprints and building designs
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools
- Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Excellent verbal skills, organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring
- Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending and climbing ladders or scaffolding
- Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- In process or completion of a formal apprenticeship
- Electrician’s license preferred
