We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team in a dynamic Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The role involves providing specialized respiratory care to neonates in a high-acuity environment.

Location: Brandon, FL

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 36 Bed Level 3 NICU
• Number of Staff: 2 Respiratory Therapists for both day and night shifts
• Patient Ratios: 2 therapists to cover the unit during peak volumes
• Type of Equipment: Drager VN500 ventilators, 3100A Oscillators, Mallinckrodt Nitric Oxide, and Vapotherms
• Electronic Medical Records: Meditech and NeoNotes

Job Responsibilities:

• Attend high-risk deliveries to provide immediate respiratory support
• Manage ventilator settings for conventional as well as high-frequency oscillatory ventilation
• Administer surfactant therapy and monitor responses
• Perform blood gas acquisition and interpretation
• Provide Nitric Oxide therapy as needed

Qualifications:

• Must Have:
• Experience in Level 3 NICU; candidates with 3-5 years of Level 2 NICU experience will be considered
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Preferred:
• STABLE certification
