Family Medicine opening in Minnesota - Located in Ortonville, MN - Fargo 115m, Minneapolis 175m - Full-time, permanent position - Outpatient opportunity - Hospital Employee first 2 years with a guarantee - Nationally competitive two-year guarantee with additional enhanced physician benefit package - Service area of 10,000 - 2003 construction of a 30,000 sq. ft. medical and outreach clinic with satellite clinic in Clinton, MN.A 20 million dollar hospital replacement project was completed in October 2011, a newly constructed 25-bed acute care hospital.
The clinic and hospital are part of a combined medical center on one campus with a 64-bed long term care facility, home health agency and kidney dialysis center and satellite clinic being a part of our system. Epic (EMR) has been in use since August 2011.Progressive school system, excellent quality of life. Ortonville is located in Big Stone County at the southern tip of Big Stone Lake (Minnesotas 10th largest lake) along the South Dakota border.
The population was 1916 at the 2010 census. Activities: Big Stone National Wildlife Refuge, excellent waterfowl and pheasant hunting, Big Stone State Park, 18-hole golf course which hosts many tournaments, bicycling club, bike trail, in 2009 a bike path was paved which connects the Big Stone Wildlife Refuge to the southern end of Big Stone Lake, great fishing and water recreation on Big Stone Lake, active service clubs, art council, theatre group and concert association.
