Nursery Manager (Forest Seedling Nursery)
From a humble beginning in 1988 with six nurseries, PRT has grown into North America's largest grower of forest seedlings, having grown over 6 billion trees. With 27 Nurseries & 14 Seed Orchards across the US and Canada, we annually cultivate over 630 million high-quality seedlings, playing a vital role in reforestation and sustainable forestry. We're driven by a passion for environmental stewardship and a commitment to nurturing relationships, driving excellence, and fostering a people-first mindset, all to make a difference for a greener future.
We are currently seeking to fill an existing vacancy on our team. We are seeking a full-time Nursery Manager to lead our team at PRT Hubbard, in Oregon. As a key part of the most innovative conifer seedling producer in the industry, you'll work with a focus on our people, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. You'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the greenhouses, storage and outdoor seedling production. Responsibilities include financial management, personnel development, customer relations, and ensuring site safety. Your leadership will be crucial in executing PRT's strategy, which is rooted in our core values of stewardship and safeguarding our people, customers, assets, and environment.
As the manager of PRT Hubbard, you will lead a small but dedicated team in producing approximately 25 million seedlings annually on a 28 acre, 430,000 sq. ft of greenhouses. The core team consists of 18 full-time employees, who are supported by a flexible seasonal workforce during the spring sow to the busy harvest season from October to December. You will coach and lead this team to produce exceptional results and meet our production targets.
This is your chance to make a tangible impact on our planet. At PRT, you'll be part of a legacy that has planted over 5 billion trees! We're not just growing seedlings; we're cultivating a greener future, one tree at a time.
