Controller

Salary: $125,000 - $150,000 annually (depending on experience) Overview Since 1999, Accelerated Services has been a trusted leader in the car hauling and transportation industry, providing reliable vehicle transportation solutions nationwide. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and results-driven Controller. This key leadership role will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, overseeing month-end close processes, maintaining strong internal controls, and providing financial insight that supports strategic business decisions and long-term growth. What You'll Do Lead and manage the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Prepare and deliver internal and external financial reporting packages. Conduct technical accounting research and implement new accounting standards as needed. Develop, maintain, and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity. Support financial planning and analysis activities that drive strategic decision-making. Oversee sales tax, use tax, and excise tax filings, while coordinating with outside tax advisors. Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors. Supervise Accounts Payable staff and ensure efficient invoice processing and payment activities. Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and operational efficiency. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and internal controls. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience using Microsoft Office applications. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. (Strongly preferred) Experience working in transportation, logistics, trucking, or related industries. Prior leadership or supervisory experience. Why Join Accelerated Services?
