Job Description
TITLE
Neonatal ICU Travel RN - Level III/IV NICU

SCHEDULE
12-hour nights, 18:45-07:15

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Contract length: 13+ weeks
Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 years in a Level 3 or 4 NICU
- Current NC or Compact license (pending acceptable for submittal)
- Certifications: BLS, NRP
- Skills: Ventilator experience (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BiPAP/PEEP), UAC/UVC management, tracheostomy care, central line care, gavage/enteral feedings

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for neonates in a Level III/IV NICU.
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and perform medical procedures as required.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate families on care processes and provide emotional support during hospital stays.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care activities.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Orientation: 24 hours unit orientation
- Scheduling: Self-scheduling per unit needs; weekend requirement includes 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays, and 3 Sundays per 6-week period
- Float may be required to pediatric units caring for infants up to 12 months
- RTO policy requires pre-approval; no RTO during the first week of the assignment.
