Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 200 ranked international law firm seeking a 2nd to 4th year Mergers and Acquisitions Associate to join its Seattle, Washington office. This is an opportunity to step into sophisticated corporate work supporting high value transactions for a mix of public and private companies, including private equity and other financial sponsors, in a team that values strong judgment, clear drafting, and responsive client service. The Opportunity You will support significant domestic and cross border mergers and acquisitions and related strategic transactions, including buy side and sell side deals. The work may include acquisitions and divestitures, strategic alliances, spin offs, carve outs, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, and tender offers, with meaningful exposure to drafting, diligence, deal execution, and client facing coordination. Ideal Candidate Profile The firm is seeking a 2nd to 4th year Mergers and Acquisitions Associate with: 2 to 4 years of significant mergers and acquisitions and strategic transactions experience Experience supporting domestic and cross border buy side and sell side transactions Working knowledge of acquisitions, divestitures, strategic alliances, spin offs, carve outs, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, and tender offers Active bar admission in at least one US jurisdiction and ability to become admitted in the practicing jurisdiction as needed Strong communication, research, analytical, and practical problem solving skills in a fast paced deal environment Why This Opportunity Stands Out This role offers a high quality Seattle based transactional seat on an Am Law platform, with the chance to work closely with partners on complex matters and build experience across a broad range of corporate transaction types.
