Job Summary

Surgical Technician – Operating Room Open Heart – Wenatchee, WA. This position serves as a vital member of the operating room team, assuming responsibility for the scrub position during surgical procedures. The Surgical Technician maintains a safe environment through technical and aseptic practices and supports cardiovascular operating room procedures.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; graduate of an accredited surgical technology program; current Washington State Surgical Technologist license; national surgical technologist certification; cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) experience.
• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Call: Participation in a minimum of 14 call days within a six-week schedule is required.
• Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain the sterile field; demonstrate proficiency with surgical procedures, equipment, instruments, sutures, and stapling devices; perform accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts; prepare for procedures according to surgeon preference cards; identify faulty equipment and unsafe conditions; properly handle specimens; follow procedures for obtaining, returning, cleaning, and disposing of equipment; and respond effectively to emergency situations.
• Assignment Period: 11/16/2026 through 02/14/2027.
