Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient evaluations in both inpatient and outpatient settings to develop tailored treatment plans
  • Implement physical therapy interventions focusing on mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
  • Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and their families regarding therapeutic objectives, discharge plans, and necessary home exercises
  • Document evaluations, treatments, and progress in compliance with facility protocols and regulations
  • Engage in team meetings and interdisciplinary conferences to ensure cohesive patient care
Required Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution
Necessary Certifications
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist
  • CPR certification is preferred
  • Additional certifications in specialties such as geriatrics or neurology are advantageous but not mandatory
Essential Skills
  • Prior experience is highly favored
  • Capability to treat patients with intricate medical and mobility challenges
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
