Job Title: Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology, Infusion, Hematology Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift, Monday through Friday Hours per Shift: 32 Experience: Minimum 2 years of chemotherapy administration experience License: Registered Nurse Certifications: ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Certification Required Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years of chemotherapy administration experience - Experience with EPIC Description: The Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse is a member of the cancer care team. This position provides professional oncology nursing care ensuring adherence to Cancer Care policies and nursing procedures. Responsibilities include assessment of health history and addressing physician orders. This role involves in-office procedures and patient and family education. Chemotherapy administration and cancer symptom management are key duties. The registered nurse will monitor patients through frequent visits to assess their physical state and emotional well-being. This position acts as the primary conduit of communication with patients. The nurse will relay patient information and feedback to physicians. Direct nursing care, including triage of patient care needs, will be provided. The oncology nurse applies clinical knowledge, judgment, and decision-making skills to analyze and address patient care issues. Additional duties may be assigned by the Cancer Care Director or Physician Services Senior Leader.
