Medical AssistantWe are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing essential clinical support, managing patient updates, and ensuring smooth operations within a healthcare setting.ResponsibilitiesConduct follow-ups and update patient records through data entry.Answer inbound phone calls and manage patient inquiries.Order labs and relay lab results to patients and healthcare providers.Schedule follow-up appointments efficiently.Provide clinical support and assist in patient care.Essential SkillsMedical experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) with at least 1 year of experience.High School Diploma is required.Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, particularly Athena.Strong understanding of medical terminology and patient care.Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle front desk operations.Additional Skills & QualificationsMedical Assisting diploma or certification is preferred.Experience in appointment scheduling, clinical support, and ordering labs.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is advantageous.Knowledge of health insurance processes.Work EnvironmentThe position is based onsite at a clinic, working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and 401K. Employees enjoy 6 paid holidays, with an increase to 9 paid holidays and 15 days of PTO upon permanent employment. Performance-based pay raises and PTO tokens are also available. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
