Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative and postoperative nursing care for surgical patients in the operating room, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative monitoring, and post-anesthesia care as assigned.
- Administer medications, assist with procedures, and support anesthesia teams while adhering to patient safety guidelines.
- Monitor patient status, triage incoming requests, and coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
- Deliver patient and family education regarding the plan of care, medications, and postoperative instructions to facilitate informed decisions.
- Document nursing assessments and interventions in a HIPAA-compliant manner; uphold patient safety and advocate for patient preferences within the care plan.
- Demonstrate independence, critical thinking, and adherence to Colorado statutes on delegation and accountability; model a Just Culture and professional values.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Colorado or a valid compact state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with active licensure as an RN
- Ability to work in a high-volume perioperative/OR setting and in a travel assignment
- Knowledge of Colorado Nurse Practice Act and delegation guidelines; HIPAA compliant
