Patient Scheduling and Insurance Coordinator

Job purposeA scheduler greets patients, answers incoming calls, triages emergencies, schedules new and existing patient appointments, send appointment reminders, request patient records, and follows up with patients.Duties and responsibilitiesScheduling and confirming appointmentsWelcoming patients and updating their information in the dental software(s)Registering new patients according to established office protocolsVerifying insurance and accurately building patient insurance plans in the dentalsoftware(s)Assisting patients to complete all necessary forms and documentationAnswering and managing incoming callsResponding and complying with requests for informationPreparing documentation for upcoming appointmentsChecking daily appointment schedules and filling gaps to ensure positive productionMonitoring and replying to e-mails and voicemailsMaintaining a professional reception areaSafeguarding patient privacy and confidentialityMaintaining OSHA and HIPPA CompliancePerform all other duties as assignedHigh School degree or equivalent requiredExceptional written and verbal communication skills requiredWorking conditions:Dental practices run at a fast pace and schedulers will be required to keep up with the flow ofdoctors and patients.Physical requirements:Schedulers will be required to:Sit for long periodsLook at a computer screen for extended periodsStand for long periods.Lifting up to 50 poundsReports to: Area Director of Operations / Operations ManagerDirect reports: None #J-18808-Ljbffr KINGFISHER DENTISTRY & BRACES
