Duties include, among others: (i) performing clinical and proficiency tests under the direct supervision of a NYSDOH qualified Manager; (ii) performing quality control procedures as required by the Manager, evaluating quality control results before proceeding with clinical testing, recording all quality control results and take necessary corrective actions; (iii) accurately and efficiently utilizing LIS by using appropriate comments and codes, entering and monitoring QC data, daily backup and status (pending) lists; (iv) performing all routine scheduled equipment maintenance, following troubleshooting procedures when equipment malfunctions completing all maintenance record keeping documents; and (v) collecting or aiding in the collection of patient specimens for testing.Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Medical Technology or a directly related field.Must also be able to work independently on weekends, afternoon and night shifts as well as possess an ICHP Visa Screen Certificate, if applicable.
