Mechanical Designer/Draftsman

Metropolitan Industries, Inc. is a multiple market sales and service organization in the water & wastewater markets both locally and on a national basis. We are a 70-year-old company located in Romeoville, Illinois a suburb of Chicago. We provide technical sales expertise, engineering, and end-user service to municipal and commercial customers in Illinois and expanded customer base across the country. We are currently looking for an entry level Mechanical Draftsman. Description Ability to visualize 3D objects including mechanical, electrical, and structural systems Ability to perform a variety of tasks, work with a deadline Capable of creating computer-aided design by taking project information and interpreting it into a submittal or fabrication drawings Collaborate and establish a good working relationship with multiple departments to deliver the highest quality designs Provide technical support for field technicians Eagerness for continued on-the-job learning about the products and systems, and miscellaneous related tasks that a small company requires.
