As part of the Endpoint Team, you will work across the product portfolio with product managers, other engineering managers, the technical documentation team, and senior leadership to drive development of the foundational components at the heart of Tanium's unified endpoint management and security platform.What You'll DoBuild exceptional teams of highly qualified and high-performance engineers by hiring, coaching, and instilling a sense of ownership and impactWork closely with product managers, security engineers and other teams to define the vision and roadmap with a focus on the needs of Tanium's customersProvide leadership, guidance and support while nurturing a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive cultureTeam with other managers to coordinate requirements, designs, dependencies, and opportunities for collaboration and process improvementsLead by example, leveraging your technical expertise to constantly raise the bar and ensure that the team consistently delivers outstanding resultsWork with senior engineering leaders to adjust the composition of the team and create new teams as necessary to respond to changing business needsEffectively manage multiple projects throughout the entire software development cycleEnsure delivery of dependable, supportable, scalable, and performant software that runs natively on customer assets in a wide variety of environmentsLead a team of tenured, senior systems developers, removing roadblocks and ensuring they have what they need to get their job done in the most optimal wayWe're Looking For Someone WithEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or other relevant degree or equivalent experienceExperience: 5+ years managing high-performing engineering teams, preferably in an area of systems engineering10+ years designing, developing, testing, and deploying software productsProven track record of architecting and delivering enterprise-level reliable and scalable solutionsDemonstrable understanding of systems level concepts in Windows, Linux, and macOSA thorough understanding of Software Development Life CycleOutside the box/first principles thinker who can come up with pragmatic solutionsKeep up with industry trends and can assess and utilize new technologies to help solve problemsDemonstrates initiative and motivationExcellent oral and written communication skillsTeam playerPerson of high ethics and integrityAbility to work in a fast-paced, changing environmentAbout TaniumTanium is the Autonomous IT company. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.In addition to an annual base salary, team members will receive equity awards and a generous benefits package consisting of medical, dental and vision plan, family planning benefits, health savings account, flexible spending account, transportation savings account, 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match, life, accident and disability coverage, business travel accident insurance, employee assistance programs, disability insurance, and other well-being benefits.
