Optical Manufacturing Technician

Step onto a fast-paced production floor where precision meets teamwork. As part of our eyewear manufacturing crew, you’ll rotate through multiple work areas, operate production equipment, and assemble components with care—always with safety and quality in mind.

• Begin your shift with a safety check and review of hourly team goals.
• Move between assigned stations to support flow and reduce fatigue, operating equipment and completing simple assemblies.
• Use hand and pneumatic tools to build and finish eyewear components.
• Inspect in-process and finished parts, catching and documenting gross defects.
• Record hourly production inputs in MES, MS Excel, and on manual logs as required.
• Keep your workstation clean, organized, and audit-ready throughout the day.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6+ months of related manufacturing experience or equivalent training.
• Comfort reading and following written and spoken English instructions (procedures, safety requirements, labels, supervisor directions).
• Proficiency tracking output in systems such as MES and Excel, plus manual documentation.
• Steady hands and manual dexterity for simple assembly tasks; strong attention to detail and the ability to concentrate for extended periods.
• Near vision capability to 20/40 max, with or without corrective eyewear; strong color, close, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Flexible availability to work longer than 8 hours per day as needed, including some weekends and holidays.
• Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems is a plus.

• Stand for most of the shift; some walking and occasional sitting are part of the role.
• Frequent reaching and consistent hand use; ability to speak English and listen for ongoing instructions from area leaders and teammates.

• Follow all safety guidelines and operating procedures without exception.
• Meet or exceed hourly production goals while maintaining quality standards.
• Operate equipment responsibly within designated production areas.
