Job Details Title: Program Coordinator and Communications Liaison, Junior School Reports To: Administrative Dean, Junior School, Glassell Junior School Classification: Non-Exempt/Hourly Schedule: Full-time, Regular, Non-exempt, 35 hrs/week; must be available to work weekends (full pay and compensating time off) Work Location: Glassell School of Art Pay: Salary commensurate with experience Responsibilities Assist with organizing projects, functions, and school events, including faculty meetings, scholarship competitions, and exhibition openings Monitor student drop‑off and pick‑up; supervise students during arrival and dismissal; assist in the classroom as needed Provide faculty support such as printing/preparing classroom materials and distributing supplies Supervise and care for students sent to the office for early pick‑up Respond to registration inquiries via phone, email, and in person, and post announcements regarding start of semester, holidays, school closures, etc. Process student enrollment, tuition payments, and miscellaneous sales (aprons, t‑shirts, bags) Serve as back‑up for the reception desk and in the classroom in case of an absentee or late employee Assist Administrative Dean with exhibition installations, including preparing artwork (matting and framing finished work) and creating and mounting labels Proofread and edit course schedules and school publications Stock, organize, and distribute classroom/office supplies as needed Generate address lists for school mailings and eblasts Assist with special projects and other duties as needed Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to resolve conflicts Ability to collaborate while working with minimum direct supervision Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to multi‑task and manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Ability to work some evenings, and most weekends (with full pay and compensating time off) Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in arts, humanities or a related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of experience and education demonstrating comparable skills and abilities Experience working with children ages 3‑18 (in a school setting) preferred Energetic, enthusiastic, self‑starter Working Conditions & Other Requirements Must be able to work under time constraints and within established or occasionally changing deadlines Work is primarily performed in the Glassell School of Art; may include outdoor environments and exposure to various environmental factors such as music and crowd noise May include prolonged sitting and standing, with occasional extended walking Assemble, collect, and analyze numerical and written data and verbal information to reach logical conclusions Work under deadlines and changing requirements or expectations in an appropriate manner With or without reasonable accommodation, the selected individual must have the capacity to perform effectively all essential functions.
