Overview Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Medicine Unit. The position includes a $20,000 sign‑on bonus and relocation assistance for qualified candidates. New graduates are welcomed and encouraged to apply. A 6‑month Nurse Residency Program is available for recent graduates. Shift Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM. (Third night shift also available.) Responsibilities Assess and admit patients. Conduct rounding checks. Administer medications. Communicate with patients and families. Provide overall patient care. Work within a teamwork‑oriented environment. License and Certification Virginia or Compact Multi‑State License in good standing. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire. Education RN‑Associate’s Degree, or RN‑Bachelor’s Degree, or RN‑Diploma, or RN‑Master’s Degree. Unit Description 24‑bed unit, designated Stroke Unit. Care for patients with respiratory compromise, DKA, CHF, pneumonia, and more. Use of Bipap, high‑flow, chronic long‑term ventilation, vasoactive infusions, bedside monitors.
