Unit: L&D/PP
Beds: 14 L&D beds, 6 triage beds, 2 OR suites, 28 postpartum beds
Births: 250 per month
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Fetal HM, AWOHNN (adv) for L&D, BLS, NRP required for Postpartum
Ratios: 2 to 1 laboring, follow AWOHNN guidelines, 1 to 4 couplet care
Fetal Monitoring System: Fetal Link
EMR: Cerner
Charge Nurse: yes, they try not to take a patient assignment
Nurse Aides/OB tech: OB tech, yes, day and night shift
Weekend Requirement: every other
Call Requirement: no, may have to be on standby
Holidays: they will work them in with perm staff rotation
Scrub Color: Nurses - navy for PP, ob tech and L&D nurses - seal blue (provided)
Tele: Phillips
Vents: No
OB/Neonataologist in house: No but available if needed
IV Team: No
RT 24/7: Yes
Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
Shifts: 12 hr shifts - 7a-7p or 7p-7a
C-section experience required: Will be required to circulate for c-sections. Scrubbing experience is preferred.
