Job Summary

Our Home Instead Office in Sun City Center, Florida is looking for you to Join our dedicated care team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors. We provide high-quality, compassionate care for clients in the comfort of their private homes. We are looking for dependable, caring individuals who take pride in helping others maintain their independence and dignity.

Salary & Benefits

• Weekday Rate: $16.00 per hour
• Weekend Rate: $17.00 per hour
• Job Type: Part-time or Full-time (Minimum 20 hours per week required)

Location & Schedule Requirements

• Service Area: Clients are located in Sun City Center, Florida.
• Commute Constraint: Must live within 10 miles of Sun City Center, FL.
• Hours: Minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Weekend Rotation: Must be available to work one weekend day every other weekend.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Companion Care: Provide engaging conversation, play board games, listen to music, and offer emotional support.
• Daily Living Assistance: Assist with showering, grooming, feeding, and toileting/incontinence care (including adult diaper changes).
• Mobility & Transfers: Perform safe transfers for clients moving in and out of beds and chairs.
• Specialized Care: Provide attentive Alzheimer's, dementia, bed-bound, and end-of-life support.
• Transportation & Errands: Accompany clients to medical appointments and run essential errands.
• Homemaking & Meals: Prepare healthy meals for adults and handle light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, vacuuming, changing linens, and surface cleaning).
• Health Tracking: Provide timely medication reminders.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Age: 21 years of age or older (required for company insurance purposes).
• Experience: Ability to manage advanced care needs (Dementia, Bed-bound, End-of-Life).
• Language: Must speak, read, and write English fluently.
• Physical Ability: Able to safely lift and move up to 25 lbs.
• Background Check: Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Vehicle & Licensing Requirements:
  • Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License.
  • Must have a clean 5-year driving record with zero (0) DWIs.
  • Must own an insured vehicle in good operational condition with working air conditioning.
