Key Responsibilities\n

As a mental health counselor at Odyssey House, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments to identify clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans that promote personal growth.

  • Providing one-on-one therapy sessions via telehealth, employing various evidence-based modalities tailored to each client's unique circumstances.

  • Regularly setting therapeutic goals in collaboration with clients and monitoring their progress to ensure effective outcomes.

  • Utilizing our secure teletherapy platform to deliver care, particularly to individuals facing accessibility challenges.

  • Maintaining meticulous documentation of client interactions and progress while adhering to ethical guidelines and standards.

  • Engaging in ongoing clinical supervision and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and stay current with industry best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve individuals experiencing a spectrum of mental health issues including, but not limited to, trauma, anxiety, and depression. By delivering customized support, you will help clients navigate their challenges and work towards achieving their personal goals. Our focus on individualized care ensures that you will have the autonomy to implement the treatment strategies you believe will best serve each client.

Qualifications\n

Applicants must possess the following qualifications:

  • A valid state license as either a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • \n
  • A relevant Bachelor's degree; however, a Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is preferred.
  • \n
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • \n
  • Strong organizational skills and the capability to manage multiple clients effectively.
  • \n
Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with a background in trauma-informed care, experience providing teletherapy, or a history of working with underrepresented populations will be highly regarded. Experience with electronic health record systems is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Odyssey House offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on your level of experience and caseload. You will also benefit from:
