About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and student-focused **School Social Worker** to support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students in a school setting in San Jose, California.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with students, families, educators, and school administrators to address barriers to learning, provide social-emotional support, and connect students with appropriate resources and services.

Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and assist with identifying student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement student support plans.
- Support students experiencing behavioral challenges, family difficulties, attendance concerns, or other barriers to academic success.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to appropriate student support planning, as applicable.
- Connect students and families with community resources and additional support services.
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.
- Advocate for students' well-being, safety, and access to educational opportunities.
- Assist with crisis intervention and provide referrals when additional support is needed.

Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
- Appropriate California credential, registration, or authorization for the assigned school social work position, as required.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, families, or school-based populations preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of social-emotional development, behavioral interventions, and community resources.
- Commitment to student advocacy, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
