Job Description

Prospera Executive has been instructed on a CFO search for a PE backed specialist distribution business, with multiple operating sites across the US and a clear plan to scale revenue ahead of a sponsor exit.

The business is entering the final phase of its investment cycle. The CFO will report directly to the CEO and act as a true strategic partner. They will own the numbers, lead exit readiness and help develop the wider leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as strategic partner and sounding board to the CEO, providing financial clarity and commercial decision support.

• Rebuild the financial model and own budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting.
\n
• Personally deliver investor grade reporting, including weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting and 13 week cash flow.
\n
• Lead preparation for a sponsor exit, working with the Board, investment team and advisers through the process.
\n
• Coach and develop an experienced accounting team, embedding robust controls and technical rigour.
\n
• Support and mentor operational and commercial leaders as the business scales.
\n

Ideal Candidate

\n
• Current or former CFO with PE backed experience and a proven track record of leading a sponsor exit.
\n
• Hands on operator who is comfortable building models and reporting personally, without a large team underneath.
\n
• Strong understanding of technical accounting.
\n
• Credible with a demanding Board and able to act as a genuine partner to the CEO.
\n
• Experience in distribution, wholesale or multi site industrial businesses preferred.
\n
