Overview Local Media Boston, a local independent radio group in Boston that includes radio station WMEX, seeks enthusiastic interns for its Social Media/Content Team. The internship focuses on building community engagement through on‑air listenership, station events and increased digital traffic. Responsibilities Interns will assist with creating and curating content for our websites and social media channels: Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Create compelling content that engages our audience demographics. Track social media and website analytics to measure post performance. Work effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Photography and video editing as opportunities arise. What You’ll Learn How to create and guide compelling content. How to track analytics and measure success. Working in a fast‑paced environment. Photography and video editing skills. Qualifications Upper‑division classes in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations or related fields. Organized, detail‑oriented with ability to prioritize tasks. Creative and confident, thinking outside the box. Passion for social networking, new skills, and teamwork. Strong work ethic and flexibility for occasional early mornings, evenings and weekends. Personal laptop and smartphone for internship tasks. Flexible schedule; able to attend events remotely if needed. Legally eligible to work in the US. Commitment to a 3‑month internship. Minimum 10 hours per week.
