Manager, Cell Therapy Manufacturing in Devens, MA
Scorpion Therapeutics
Responsibilities Support development, implementation, and compliance of manufacturing documentation, procedures, and policies. Plan, assign, and oversee daily operational activities for assigned areas within validated manufacturing systems. Maintain operating and storage areas that are compliant, efficient, effective, and safe. Identify strategic and operational issues to prevent deviations; lead corrective and preventive actions, deviation responses, and investigations. Foster teamwork, open communication, and urgency; ensure a safety and compliance culture aligned with company procedures, policies and cGMP. Coordinate and communicate Operations project information and activity status to Planning, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance/Operations, Global Supply, and others. Oversee operators daily to perform GMP‑compliant unit operations; complete required documentation; maintain training records; support setup, commissioning, qualification, and validation; and write technically sound, cGMP‑compliant manufacturing operating procedures. Hire, mentor, and develop teams; conduct performance reviews and support career growth. Working Conditions Shift work, including holidays and weekends. Clean‑room environment; exposure to human blood components; close proximity to strong magnets. Basic Requirements Bachelor’s degree in relevant science or engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
