About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in cardiac surgery, including scrubbing and circulating. License: Must have an active nursing license prior to start date. Certifications: ACLS, BLS required. Must-Have: Must scrub cardiac surgery independently and circulate. Description: Schedule is 2x12s and 2x8s per week. No 4x10s. RN must work 40 hours a week, with shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 10:45 AM to 7:15 PM. Average patient ratio is 1:2. First-time travelers accepted. Weekend requirements include two 24-hour calls per scheduled week (either 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM or 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM). One day per week available to stay late. Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs. Block schedule accommodation is not open. RTO greater than 7 days requires approval. Special requirements include cardiac experience in both circulating and scrubbing cases. Daily census and additional unit details are not specified. Modules are non-billable and to be completed pre-start and annually, varying by specialty. Candidate must apply for license prior to submittal. Local candidates are not accepted. Reference required for submission. Return staff policy states that a candidate must be gone for 2 years to return as a traveler.
