Construction Quality Control Manager

MainDutiesandResponsibilities Performroutinesitewalksandinspectionstoidentify,document,andcorrectdeficientornon-conformingwork. EnforceapprovedprojectsafetyplansandensurecompliancewithOSHA,EM385-1-1,andproject-specificsafetyrequirements. Conduct,coordinate,and/orfacilitaterequiredprojecttrainingforqualityandsafetycompliance. LeadmishapinvestigationsandcompleteallrequiredreportingtoHHIandapplicableGovernmentagencies. Prepare,maintain,andsubmitallrequiredqualitycontroldocumentation,reports,andlogsinaccordancewithcontractrequirements. Research,interpret,andimplementapplicablefederal,state,andproject-specificregulationsandspecifications. Develop,implement,andmanage theProjectQualityControlPlan(QCP). LeadanddocumentThree-PhaseControlMeetings(Preparatory,Initial,andFollow-Up). Record,track,andmaintainlogsofallinspections,testing,andqualityverificationactivitiesperformedonsite. Review,coordinate,andtracksubmittals,ensuringcompliancepriortoGovernmentsubmission. Coordinatewiththird-partytestinglaboratories,inspectors,andcommissioningagentsasrequiredbythecontract. Trackdeficiencies,issuecorrectiveactionrequests,andverifycompletionofcorrectivework. Participateinpreparatorymeetings,pre-installationmeetings,andGovernmentcoordinationmeetings. Assistwithprojectcloseoutactivities,includingpunchlists,as-builtdocumentation,warranties,andO&Mmanuals. KeyWorkingRelationships MustbeabletoworkprofessionallyandeffectivelywithGovernmentrepresentatives,inspectors,andnon-governmentpersonnel.TheQualityControlManagermustcoordinatewithmultipletradesanddisciplinestoensurequalitycompliancewithoutimpedingconstructionprogress.Clear,conciseverbalandwrittencommunicationwithOwners,ProjectManagers,Superintendents,andCorporateSafetyisrequired. MinimumQualifications Bachelor’sdegreeinEngineeringorConstructionManagement Minimumten(10)yearsofconstructionexperience,withatleasttwo(2)yearsservingasthePrimaryQualityControlManageronfederalconstructionprojects. Demonstratedexperienceonfederalprojects(USACE,NAVFAC,VA,orsimilar). Successfullycompletedatleastoneprojectvaluedat$8millionorgreater. Experienceonprojectsexceeding10,000squarefeet. OSHA30-HourConstructionSafetyTrainingwithdemonstratedknowledgeofEM385-1-1. WorkingknowledgeofRMS/QCSandGovernmentelectronicreportingsystems. ProficientinMicrosoft,Word,andExcel. Strongabilitytoread,interpret,andenforceplans,specifications,andapprovedsubmittals. Excellentwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills,includingformalGovernmentcorrespondence. Well-developedorganizational,documentation,andtime-managementskills. ExperienceusingBluebeamandProcore(orsimilarconstructionmanagementplatforms). MustmeetGovernmentsecurityclearancerequirements. Mustpasspre-employmentdrugscreening. Validdriver’slicensewithacceptabledrivingrecord;insurableundercompanypolicy. Abilitytoliftupto50poundsandperformfieldinspectionsinactiveconstructionenvironments. Dependable,ethical,andprofessionalwithstronginterpersonalskills. Preferred/AdditionalQualifications ExperienceservingasPrimaryCQCManageronmultipleUSACEprojects. FamiliaritywiththeUnifiedFacilitiesGuideSpecifications(UFGS) Workingknowledgeofconstructionscheduling;PrimaveraP6orOPCexperiencepreferred. LEEDtrainingorsustainabilityexperienceonfederalprojects. Experiencecoordinatingcommissioningactivitiesandsystemstesting. Experiencewithdesign-bid-buildanddesign-buildfederalprojects. AbilitytomentorandsupervisejuniorQCstaffandinspectors.
