Dental Laboratory Technician

Removable Prep Technician 1 Contract to Hire 1st Shift Pay rate: $23.00 hr to $27.00 hr. (D.O.E.) Andover, MA Summary Review and confirm models and prescriptions for accuracy and production. Seal 3D printed models and carve for clasping in preparation for appliance production. Daily Activities will include: Inspect and prep stone and 3D printed models for following assembly steps, including carving for clasping and sealing for additional assembly steps including acrylic. Mount models on articulators or bases as required Work with hand tools, drills, saws, and X-ACTO knives Understand and identify defects in accordance with applicable workmanship standards Record production information and track work progress Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet production goals Average 50 70 points per day Other tasks as assigned Skill Requirements Ability to read and interpret job orders, specifications, and small print for assemblies Ability to use hand and semi-automatic tools including but not limited to: pliers, hand drills, and X-ACTO knives Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination Ability to work in a stationary, sitting position for several hours at a time Ability to read and interpret job orders, specifications, and small print for assemblies Ability to multi-task with a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Required Experience & Education High school diploma or equivalent required Previous manufacturing experience in a dental, orthodontic, or medical setting is preferred Familiarity with orthodontic or dental terminology preferred Preemployment Background check is required.
