Quality Engineer

Our manufacturing client is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join their Mountain Top, PA location. On site position. Open due to growth. Responsibilities Develop and revise QMS procedures, work instructions, and documentation Train employees on quality system requirements and best practices Lead and participate in internal quality audits Develop, track, and complete CAPAs to support QMS improvements and performance metrics Apply quality testing methods and ensure alignment with customer and regulatory requirements Serve as the primary QA contact during customer and supplier assessments and material qualifications Review and release product according to established quality requirements. Build effective working relationships with customers and internal departments Analyze product performance trends using tools such as SPC, DOE, FMEA, and other statistical methods Address customer quality concerns and drive problem-solving efforts Support new product development, cost savings, and continuous improvement initiatives using quality data Promote consistent use of QMS tools and statistical methods across the facility Interpret and apply relevant industry standards, test methods, and customer specifications; train staff as needed Provide leadership to assigned staff, including performance guidance Lead facility tours and explain quality systems to visitors Assist or back up the QA Manager as required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2+ years quality or manufacturing engineering experience. Will also consider a Bachelor’s degree in scientific/technical field with 5+ years of quality or manufacturing engineering experience. ASQ certification or equivalent body of knowledge is highly desirable (CQA, CQE, CQT, Six Sigma GB/BB) Strong communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills Experience working directly with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams Knowledge of quality tools, methodologies, and regulatory requirements Employment Type: direct hire Salary: $80k-$100k + bonus SolomonEdwardsGroup, LLC is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
