Controls Systems Associate Technician

Responsibilities Perform assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems. Respond to basic warranty calls. Provide customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service related items. Act as a trusted advisor, providing solutions and outcomes at the time of service. Load system-level controller software. Perform basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (sensors, actuators, etc.) and complete all required commissioning documentation. Keep management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues. Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment. Complete administrative tasks including time sheets, expense reports, and on‑site documentation. Document changes and provide information for as‑built documentation. Communicate with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training. Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure the facility is running efficiently, including upselling opportunities. Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions. Qualifications Demonstrated technical aptitude. Ability to use hand and power tools (e.g., drills, saws, etc.). Basic computer skills. Attention to detail. Effective communication and listening skills. Depending on location, mounting and termination of low voltage devices may have special licensing requirements. Preferred: Two years’ experience installing electronic and/or mechanical systems. Preferred: Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems. Compensation and Benefits Hiring hourly range: $25 to $30 per hour, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
