Nurse (Clinical/Emergency Department)

Emergency Department Clinical Nursing Care

Provide Emergency Department (ED) clinical nursing care to patients of any age group.

Assess patient's condition, and implement nursing care plans.

Perform various pulmonary ventilation functions, and operate and monitor highly complex technical equipment.

Teach, onboard and mentor professional and paraprofessional nursing staff.

Provide evidence-based instructions and education to patient/significant other and/or family members/caregivers.

Serve as a resource person for nurses and other health care providers to consult when particularly difficult problems in the care of patients arise.

Function as a charge nurse on a rotational basis and determine staffing requirements/mix and appropriateness of bed utilization.
