Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)This position requires a commitment to 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, including rotating shifts. The schedule consists of two night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM and one day shift from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Weekend availability is required every other weekend.Job ResponsibilitiesThe Emergency Room Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive treatment for patients across all age groups. Key responsibilities include:Evaluating and managing emergency cases for both adults and pediatrics.Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.Monitoring vital signs and assessing patient conditions.Documenting patient care in the electronic health record (Epic).Assisting in emergency procedures and interventions.Maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and infection control standards.QualificationsApplicants must meet the following qualifications:A minimum of 1 year of experience in Emergency Room nursing.Current South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN License.Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS.Preferred certifications: NRP, TNCC.Experience with general emergency patient care and stroke (CVA) management.Proficiency in Epic electronic health record system is desirable.Additional InformationThe Emergency Room Registered Nurse may occasionally float to nearby facilities as needed. Flexibility in scheduling is encouraged, with block schedule requests subject to managerial approval based on the unit's needs.Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams, and scheduling may be impacted.On-site scrubs are to be royal blue.
