Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Labor and Delivery position at a birthing center. This role requires quick onboarding and adherence to specific scheduling and certification requirements to ensure optimal patient care.

Responsibilities:

Provide expert nursing care to women during labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care.
Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and execute patient care plans.
Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs, responding promptly to any complications.
Document patient progress accurately in the electronic medical record system.
Float between Med-Surg and Emergency Department units as needed.
Cover shifts including every other weekend and at least two major holidays.

Qualifications:

Valid Vermont RN license required at submission.
Possess BLS and NRP certifications.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor, Delivery, Post-Partum, and Newborn Care.
Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is mandatory.
Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
Able to work 2 out of 4 major holidays.
