LDRP RN - Day Shift (3x12-Hour)

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract position. This role will involve providing exceptional care to patients in various hospital units based on staffing needs, adhering to AWHONN standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one care to patients in labor and a postpartum patient ratio of 1:3.
• Utilize Epic for charting and documentation of patient care.
• Float between different units as required while maintaining high standards of patient care.
• Assist with the recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
• Perform triage of obstetrical patients and conduct sterile vaginal exams.
• Administer medications including Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate therapy as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Schedule

Day shifts (07:00 - 19:00) for 3 consecutive 12-hour days. Weekend coverage required every other weekend.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year experience in LDRP; 2 years preferred.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications.
• Experience with Epidural Anesthesia and the use of External Fetal Monitoring.
• Must possess a valid RN license.
• Car ownership is required for this assignment.
