Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and reliable Utility Pipe Layer to join our construction team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining underground utility systems including water, sewer, and storm drainage pipelines. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, understands safety protocols, and can work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Install underground piping systems for water, sewer, and drainage Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and grade stakes Ensure proper alignment and grading of pipes Assist with trenching, shoring, and backfilling operations Operate hand tools and small equipment safely and efficiently Follow all OSHA and company safety regulations Collaborate with equipment operators and laborers on-site Inspect pipes and connections for leaks or defects Qualifications Previous experience as a pipe layer or in utility construction preferred Knowledge of underground utility installation techniques Ability to read construction plans and use measuring tools Physical stamina and ability to work in outdoor conditions Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus) Work Conditions Outdoor work in varying weather conditions Physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods May require early mornings, overtime, or weekend work Competitive hourly wage (based on experience) Health and dental insurance Paid time off and holidays #J-18808-Ljbffr Watts Services, LLC
